Head southeast on SW M St toward SW 6th St
Turn right onto SW 6th St
Use the right lane to stay on SW 6th St
Turn right onto 199/Redwood Hwy and drive 72 miles to CA-197 N
Slight right onto CA-197 N for 3 miles
Turn left onto Charlie Drive (there is a small white sign)
The road turns to rock and you will drive through some large low spots filled with water. When you reach the floodplain, turn left and drive over to the river keeping to the embankment on your left.

Head southeast on SW M St toward SW 6th St
Turn right onto SW 6th St
Use the right lane to stay on SW 6th St
Turn right onto US-199 N/Redwood Hwy for 70 miles
Turn left onto S Fork Rd
Drive over the bridge and go until you see the “Smith River – River Access” sign
Turn right and drive down to the boat ramp
Unload gear here and hike it to the river on the trail at the turnaround
Park the vehicle back at the parking lot
