SSI Classified Diver Training
Adaptive scuba training designed to help more divers experience the underwater world safely and confidently.
The SSI Classified Diving program provides adaptive training for students with limited mobility and/or sensory considerations. This program helps medically cleared students experience scuba diving with support from qualified SSI professionals and, when needed, Classified Dive Buddies.
Classified Diver training is designed around the student’s specific needs while still building safe scuba skills, confidence, and comfort in the water. Training may begin in a pool or confined-water environment before progressing toward open water, depending on the diver’s abilities, comfort level, and instructor guidance.
