The SSI DPV Diving Specialty teaches divers how to safely plan and conduct dives using a diver propulsion vehicle (DPV), also known as an underwater scooter. This course helps you learn the skills and procedures needed to enjoy new underwater experiences while maintaining safety, control, and buddy contact.
During DPV training, you will learn how to handle DPV equipment, manage speed and positioning, maintain communication with your buddy, and plan dives that account for battery life, depth, distance, and return navigation.
Upon completion of this program, you can earn the SSI DPV Diving Specialty certification and build confidence using scooters or DPVs in appropriate diving environments.
