The SSI Underwater Communication Specialty introduces divers to the skills, equipment, and procedures used to communicate effectively underwater. Strong communication improves dive safety, enhances teamwork, and creates a more enjoyable diving experience.
This course covers standard hand signals, communication protocols, slates and wet notes, light signals, and underwater communication systems used with full face masks and other specialized equipment.
